Do I have a kilometer limit?

If you have bought a limited km rate, please check how many km you can do per day, alternatively you can pay for extra km upon your return or buy km packages at the counter.

Which license do I need?

For EU/Schengen citizens are required the Eu driving license. In case of non Eu driving license, an international driving license or an official translation is requested, or any other license which is accepted by local authorities.

 

Which languages are spoken by the Dryyve Team?

Our staff speaks English and German.

How do i contact you in case of technical breakdown?

When contacting us, the customer must always provide their reservation number and call us on the number that is on the dashboard.  

What is a Cross Border?

If you travel to another EU country, you have to buy a cross border package in the office, alternatively it will be automatically invoiced at a higher rate once you cross any border exiting the country where you rented the vehicle. This fee covers extra management from our staff to handle any issues that may arise once abroad. This fee does not cover highway fees in any country visited , so In addition, it is necessary to purchase a motorway vignette of a given country.    

How do I pay?

You can pay only with credit card, or debit cards with a fee or with a full insurance issued by us, we do not accept American Express or electronics cards. Furthermore a deposit will be blocked on your card that will cover penalties and damages. The deposit can be taken only on the person that contracts the car.    

I need to pick up the car out of the opening hours

After opening hours with a maximum time limit, we can manage to help you against a fee. Please let us know in advance, if you need this service, in order to organize it. A next morning pick up is also possible during opening times at no extra cost. Another possibility is to pick up your key after out of hours from our self service key box at any time of the night , this service will require procedures of registration and payment in advance with deposit.      

Lazy pack / How much is the deposit?

You can reduce the deposit by buying the Lazy Pack. Please check booking conditions for details on costs and inclusions of the services in the Lazy pack.        

Snow tires, winter tires, 4 season tires?

From November 1st until 15th April, all our cars are equipped with tires that comply with the rules and regulations of the weather. Furthermore, tire chains are available at a fee.

Car was dropped off earlier?

In case you return the car earlier, unfortunately you will not be refunded the amount paid.

Extension?

If you want to extend your contract, check with your broker before hiring. If you are already renting the car, please send an email to our email address. Or contact the number you have on the dashboard.

Pick up / Drop off?

To avoid misunderstandings, please take pictures of damages and of petrol level at time of pick-up and drop-off

What to do in case of an accident?

The most important operation is to fill out the accident report paper in the presence of a police officer, and notify us of the accident as soon as possible, failure to complete the paper work with the local authorities may endanger the validity of insurance.

What is Prohibited in the car?

It is not allowed to smoke, transport animals, drive off roads and naturally driving against traffic regulations.

Parking fines?

Please pay it as soon as possible to the given account number, alternatively it will be processed by us for an admin fee

What if I paid the insurance with a third party?

All insurance policies not contracted directly by us will need to be managed with the company that issued the insurance, we will deduct all costs from your credit card and you will need to ask reimbursement from your insurance.

AUSTRIA AND HUNGARY

Austrian Motorway vignettes what do they cover?

The motorway vignette and validity, for Austria covers most of the highways in Austria but there some sections A9, A10, A11, A13, and S16 where section tolls need to be paid.

(road sections and all other highway fees not covered need to be purchased at time of crossing)

Where is the office in Vienna airport?

Our offices are placed in the Car Rental Center on the ground floor in the P4 multi-story car park where all car rental companies are. Please follow the walking signalization that will lead you from the arrival terminal to the Car Rental Center in P4.

Where is the return car park?

The return parking is located on the ground floor of parking garage P4, where independent staff is available 0-24 hours.

The Staff will take over the keys, check the car for damages, after which you sign the receipt documentation.

One ways between Vienna, Salzburg and Budapest?

The one ways are available at an additional cost.

What to do if I get a fine from Austrian police?

  • We will manage all traffic penalties with an administrative fee. The fee will be charged directly to your credit card together with traffic penalty.
  • In case we need to manage your penalty for a fee but the traffic penalty notification will be sent to your address, from the relevant Police department, You will be solely responsible to pay the amounts to local traffic authorities. In these cases Please be advised that we do not have the penalty itself, only the notification of the traffic violation that we need to manage with the authorities

ITALY 

What documents are required to rent a car in Italy?

We will ask you to provide a:

  • A valid driver’s license (non-EU residents may need an International Driving Permit).
  • A passport or another form of identification.
  • A credit card for deposit purposes.

Are there age restrictions for renting a car in Italy?

We require drivers to be at least 19  years old, with a minimum of one year of driving experience we may charge a young driver surcharge for drivers under 23.

What insurance options are available?

The Gold Protection, also known as the Lazy Pack, ensures your trip is worry-free without any paperwork.

Can I drive the rental car across borders?

You can… purchase our cross-border special that will enable you to cross borders without any penalties.

What is the fuel policy?

We have the same to same policy where all we ask is you bring it back at the same level you got it.

Can I add additional drivers?

Yes, additional drivers can usually be added for a fee. Some packages, like the Lazy Pack, may include unlimited additional drivers.

Are there restrictions on where I can drive?

Please don’t drive our cars offroad. Additionally, certain regions may require specific permits, especially for restricted traffic zones in cities (ZTL zones).

How are payments and deposits handled?

The rental payment and a security deposit will be charged at the start of the rental period. Unblocking for deposits is processed after the car is returned and inspected, which can take several days, depending on the bank.

What should I do in case of an accident or breakdown?

Assess the situation and make sure to contact the appropriate authorities and roadside assistance, please contact us directly as soon as you are able to.

Are there airport pickup fees?

We offer a completely free shuttle service to and from our offices to the airport, directly taking you to your terminal.
